This multifaceted program is designed for practitioners and teachers of yoga wanting to deepen their knowledge of yoga’s philosophical roots and how to apply its wisdom experientially into our lives through practice. The Fire Tier immersion explores yoga as a spiritual practice, and as we skillfully weave practice, teachings, and intention, we remember and wake up to the sacred within and all around. We will draw upon the teachings of Tantra, the building of Agni (the inner fire), and the enlivening of Kundalini Shakti (the soul force) in a cohesive manner to approach yoga’s potential and vast reach in our lives.
Evolving Our Yoga Studies Program
The Fire Tier ~ Agni SadhanaWe will create a supportive opportunity for healing, growth, self-discovery, and self-empowerment in community as we build on the knowledge and accrued effects of systematic practice. Experience a complete approach to yoga, honoring its roots as an ancient wisdom tradition coupled with a relevant application into our lives as modern day practitioners. This will be a journey of dedication, kinship, discovery and unparalleled insight into the vast gifts and transformation yoga offers. Classes will include content introduction, discussion, a slow flow breath based movement sequence with adaptations for all bodies, and ample time for the more subtle practices. Please note that though this course does include the practice of postures, it is more focused on exploring yoga practice beyond asana; namely meditation, pranayama (breathwork), self inquiry, kriya, mantra, bandhas, mudras, yoga nidra and sankalpa shakti (activated intention). The course consists of weekly Thursday classes Mar 16 – May 11 from 6:45-8:45pm (no class 3/30 and 5/4) that incorporates relevant content and yogic practices, along with 2 monthly Saturday gatherings 4/8 & 5/13 from 1-5pm to introduce central content and practices that may not be suitable for evening. Part of this series will include a 30 day meditation dedication we’ll do as a group in April
