I teach regular yoga & meditation classes, courses ranging from 8 weeks to 9 months, and also love working with individuals one on one to help develop a supportive home practice that suits one’s needs and lifestyle.
What do clients “go home with” after working with me? I offer tools to foster overall wellness that range from physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual support. I help individuals feel empowered, nurtured, and connected to themselves — their own bodies, minds, and hearts — and in their relationships.
4 Week Series | Tues Oct 29-Nov 19 5:30-6:30pm | Sliding Scale $45-60
Located @ Foxy Studio 2117 Winnebago St, Madison
Mindfulness is a term we’ve all heard of and maybe we’ve even taken a class or been introduced to a technique or two, or we think we should learn it but haven’t because of all the hype that surrounds it. Research continues to show immense positive impact on wellness, mental stability, and emotional health by having a regular mindfulness practice, and in these current times it is a very accessible method to support resilience and not get sucked into instant overwhelm and the damaging effects of stress. This 4 week series is for you to learn both the how and what of mindfulness and the when in the flow of your unique life. Each week we will discuss + practice a different approach towards mindfulness, and then also have the week in between to practice to get to know what works, and what doesn’t. Sometimes a more formal seated meditation style practice is what resonates (and there are several approaches to this), but there are other methods like movement practices, and simple 1-3 minute moments of mindfulness. The important thing is to try, and see what fits well with your lifestyle and personality. The benefits are very palpable, and worth your time and exploration. Let’s do this together with the support of group effort and momentum to discover the reset button you may not have known you have! You will come away with several tools, recordings, and have insight in to what works best for you.
Who is this open to? Anyone who has been curious, or has had previous experience and would like to use this class as an opportunity to reinvigorate a regular practice of mindfulness. You need not have done anything like this before, and I especially invite those who think they could not possibly do this because life is so busy or your mind is so full of noise. Ooh, do please come! This is open to 10 participants, you can register by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Advanced Yoga Studies is an in depth, rich, and comprehensive course designed for those who crave more knowledge about yoga’s vast system and apply it practically into modern life. We explore yoga’s timeless philosophical background and the techniques that allow one to experience those teachings, welcoming its fullest potential in our lives. In this in depth series we study PRANA- loosely translated as “life force”- and why it is a key factor towards developing supreme health and vitality in addition to being a primary pathway of Tantric Hatha Yoga to harness inner connection and outer fulfillment. We look to the wisdom of Tantra and Ayurveda to develop a relationship and understanding of this subtle energy and how to effectively cultivate and contain our vital reserves to enhance physical health, mental clarity, and emotional resilience through yoga practice, meditation, and lifestyle choices. The course consists of weekly Thursday classes from 6-8pm that incorporate relevant content and yogic practices, monthly Saturday intensives from 1-5:30pm to present content, engage group discussion, and a full spectrum practice, and supplemental audio recordings to support your learning. A one on one session is also included for guidance according to current life circumstances and how to best move forward with the information that makes best sense for you. Also as part of this session is the special opportunity to study with guest teacher Crystal Ann Hanson, and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist and local teacher, who will be covering much of the section on Ayurveda. She is a respected teacher and practitioner of yoga and Ayurveda who regularly teaches at Perennial Yoga. I am thrilled she is part of this series! You will walk away with tools and resources that last far beyond the course. Consider investing in yourself and your love of yoga with a course that will kickstart your year in the direction of reclaiming your radiance, luster, and creative power. This 10 week series is focused on yoga and the sacred. We will highlight this theme according to my personal learning and practice from well over a decade that is meant to open that interface with the mystery, that place where we feel in touch with that which is beyond the senses yet accessed uniquely through them. This is the heart of tantra yoga as a method that invokes our light – where we feel that presence of our sacred Selves – and the tools for grounding it into our everyday, becoming more embodied with, whole, and welcoming of this consciousness on and off the mat. For me, it’s where the magic happens and why I continue to work through this path. We are going to feature mantra and chanting, pranayama, the subtle practices of mudra and bandha, and of course- you know me- summon the sublime through meditation and yoga nidra. Many of you who have studied with me know these practices, we will be emphasizing them instead of having them in the periphery, in a balanced way. Let’s reclaim this potent heart of the practice and ourselves. Even if you have not studied with me, but you’re ready to go there, please do! This series can be taken a la carte as well, pay as you go including the Sunday sessions, but I encourage the arc for the full impact.
Yoga Nidra Immersion Workshops
Sundays Jan 12th, Feb 23rd, and March 15th from 1:30-3:30pm
$35 @ Main Street Yoga
Join me for an impactful practice that will restore you, support you, and nourish you in the best way. These monthly explorations of Yoga Nidra between now and March, are a great opportunity to explore this practice with an educational component as to why it’s so powerful, a long guided nidra that takes you deeper, and a recording to take with you for personal use. This is not a nap, though it can look like it from the outside- and I can teach you ways that help you to stay awake as we systematically move through deeper and deeper states of relaxation. Become more awake to your life as you pair it with the empowering practice of deep rest. Go beyond your stories, your false beliefs, into the heart of your truth and at the same time welcome healing for your nervous system. It’s potent medicine for your body, mind, and heart. Some time will be set aside for learning, some time set aside to talk about best supportive positioning, and then we’ll do the practice. Regular experiences of Yoga Nidra can help reduce the impact of stress and move our systems into a state conducive to healing. Yoga Nidra can also retrain our systems for deep rest, improve memory and learning, increase overall awareness, and give us a taste of the sublime with consistent practice. You will not regret the tools learned in these immersions, and each session will include a unique Yoga Nidra.
