I teach regular yoga & meditation classes, courses ranging from 8 weeks to 9 months, and also love working with individuals one on one to help develop a supportive home practice that suits one’s needs and lifestyle.

Mindfulness is a term we’ve all heard of and maybe we’ve even taken a class or been introduced to a technique or two, or we think we should learn it but haven’t because of all the hype that surrounds it. Research continues to show immense positive impact on wellness, mental stability, and emotional health by having a regular mindfulness practice, and in these current times it is a very accessible method to support resilience and not get sucked into instant overwhelm and the damaging effects of stress. This 4 week series is for you to learn both the how and what of mindfulness and the when in the flow of your unique life. Each week we will discuss + practice a different approach towards mindfulness, and then also have the week in between to practice to get to know what works, and what doesn’t. Sometimes a more formal seated meditation style practice is what resonates (and there are several approaches to this), but there are other methods like movement practices, and simple 1-3 minute moments of mindfulness. The important thing is to try, and see what fits well with your lifestyle and personality. The benefits are very palpable, and worth your time and exploration. Let’s do this together with the support of group effort and momentum to discover the reset button you may not have known you have! You will come away with several tools, recordings, and have insight in to what works best for you.
Who is this open to? Anyone who has been curious, or has had previous experience and would like to use this class as an opportunity to reinvigorate a regular practice of mindfulness. You need not have done anything like this before, and I especially invite those who think they could not possibly do this because life is so busy or your mind is so full of noise. Advanced Yoga Studies is an in depth, rich, and comprehensive course designed for those who crave more knowledge about yoga’s vast system and apply it practically into modern life. We explore yoga’s timeless philosophical background and the techniques that allow one to experience those teachings, welcoming its fullest potential in our lives. In this first of three modules, we utilize the teachings of the YOGA SUTRAS and unpack the wisdom of Patanjali’s revered text, looking specifically at the nature of mind, the roots of our misperceptions, and the power of meditation to free us from automatic patterns of thinking and behaving that are no longer serving us. We also correlate this to modern findings in the field of neuroscience, and the clinically proven benefits mindfulness and meditation yields. With an emphasis on the moon practices (the “tha” part of Hatha Yoga), we will emphasize an approach that cultivates grounding, stability, strength, stillness, and self reflection. We focus on the practices of yoga postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and Yoga Nidra to unlock these qualities and provide the foundation for healing and preparation for the more subtle and advanced practices. All sessions are recorded in case any classes are missed.
This course can be taken alone or in conjunction with the Sun and Fire Tiers for a consecutive 9 month program that concludes in June of 2019. Yoga & Meditation Course – Embodied Wisdom

This 8 week course is focused on enhancing your mind/body/heart connection and inner wisdom by weaving the practices of asana, breath work, and meditation into a seamless flow that delivers you back home to yourSelf. We will feature at times work with mantra, mudra, and the deep restorative practice of yoga nidra as we move through the autumn season together. Fall is a great time to ground and come back to ourselves after the excess of summer. Recommit to your resilience with yoga and meditation in a supportive community. Each week will feature a theme followed with a practice that brings forward the particular teaching or sentiment in an experiential way. We have such capacity for renewal, for connection to our inner knowing, called dhi, and I am always humbled no matter how many times I forget, the gift of practice always leads me back. Back by popular demand, join me monthly this fall for a luxurious practice that will restore you, support you, and nourish you in the best way. The transition from summer to fall requires us to get grounded, to help support ourselves and our immunity as winter comes soon after. This practice fits this sweetly!
We will begin with 20 min of gentle movement, a 25 minute guided yoga nidra practice, and then work with 2-3 accessible postures completely supported with yoga props for 5-10 min each. This is a practice that is deeply supportive to your nervous system, boosts immunity, and teaches us the power of rest.
